Q: Why doesn’t FAN appear in the IRS nonprofit database?

A: Florida Access Network was known formerly as Central Florida Women’s Emergency Fund - CFLWEF. The State of Florida recognized FAN under its new name and amended its articles of incorporation in July 2019. The IRS has not updated FAN’s listing in its database - this DOES NOT impact our nonprofit status but is a source of confusion for donors and foundations.  

Q: Where does FAN get it’s c3 status?

A: Florida Access Network is part of National Network of Abortion Fund’s 501c3 group tax exemption since August 23, 1996. This means our 501c3 status originates from this group exemption but FAN operates independently from NNAF with its own EIN and is NOT fiscally sponsored by NNAF.

A: No. We have our own EIN 593396077 and 501c3 status originates from NNAF’s group exemption. We operate independently from NNAF.

A: We prefer online donations however we do accept mailed checks made out to “Florida Access Network” to mailing address PO Box 536522 Orlando, Florida 32853. You will receive a written communication within 30 days of receipt.
